2008 Safe and Sane

Minutes March 12, 2008

 

Meeting was held at the Mount and began at 7:45pm.

 

Tracey welcomed everyone in attendance.

 

Secretary’s Report-report from February meeting were shared and approved.

 

Treasurer’s Report –shared and approved.  February Basket Bingo made approximately $7,455.

 

Food- Committee asked for help with the upcoming March dance and a sign-up sheet was passed around.   There will be no other meeting before the next bingo, so help was asked for that as well.  Committee has begun sending out donation letters for food request for the safe-n-sane night.

 

Casino & Raffles- Lisa reported for Sherry; we need lots and lots of items for that special night.  Sherry needs help with this task.  Several parents in attendance tonight volunteered to help.

 

Gift Bags – Barb reported books would cost $2,000 for each graduate.  Committee is working on this.

 

Donations-Leslie reported; more letters went out in January.  We also sent out letters to all parents in February.  We received $300 more in donations.

 

Bingo- Gladys reported; the last bingo sold out!  Next one is
April 6th.

 

Memory Room- Susan reported; April 15th is deadline for photo CD’s.

 

Golf- Terry reported; Committee had a meeting – need hole sponsors.  Everyone try to get a sponsor.

 

Security- John reported; he now has a Camp David contact #

 

Fundraiser- March Raffle went well – only had 28 unsold tickets out of 1000.

          Dinner Dance:  Food needs a head count

                                  Will do a small King Tut

                                   We have 30 items for the silent auction

 

Decorations- Tonyia reported; all set for the Dance.

 

Public Relations- best if you do it yourself for your fundraiser

 

Thank-You’s-  Kim will send out to new donators

 

Entertainment-JR reported; all will be finalized by next meeting.  We’ll need to all sign up for a station.

 

Baccalaureate –No Report; will be Tuesday June 3rd at Weller United Methodist.

 

Senior Picnic-Tracey will be going to the next senior class meeting.

 

Meeting ended up with a tour of the Mount facility
