Catoctin High School Safe and Sane
Committee Meeting Minutes
July 3, 2007
A motion was made to approve the meeting minutes of the previous meeting. Motion passed by Tracey Tylicki and Tonya Miller.
Treasurers Report: Wendy Cordell reported that an Audit is currently being done on the 2007 Safe and Sane Committee and upon completion all books, reports, accounts, etc will be turned over to the 2008 Committee. The bank account is currently at Woodsboro Bank and will remain there.
Wendy has forms for members to use if they need to be reimbursed for items that were purchased for use in Safe and Sane Activities, receipts will need to be attached to the forms. There are also forms that need to be completed for money that is being turned into the Committee (donations, sales, etc.) A budget for 2008 was discussed and will be completed and reported on at next meeting.

Casino: No Report
Gift Bags: No Report
Donations: 2007 Committee member still needs to be contacted (Billy Keeney) and information needs to be turned over to this committee.
Basket Bingo: Wanda and Gladys reported the dates for the Basket Bingos will be on Nov 4, 2007, Feb 10, and April 16, 2008. All three are on a Sunday. Bingo will be discussed more at next meeting. Food Committee will take care of food for this event.
Memory Room: Susan Hagelin and Sandy Stackhouse will Co Chair this committee. No report at this time.
Golf: No report
Security: No report
Fundraising: Dance is to be on October 6, 2007 and tentatively another dance for March, date to be set later. There will be three raffles. (1) 4Wheeler Raffle, 2,000 tickets, $10.00 each for sale now. Drawing will be at the December meeting. Leslie is able to get a 4 Wheeler for $5250 or $5,000 cash. (2) Cash Raffle, 5,000 tickets for $1.00 each on sale now. Drawing to be held in November. (3) Restaurant Raffle, 1,000 tickets. These will not be available until January and price will be announced then. Motion was passed for these raffles.
Please consider entering a cake in the Community Show in Sept. (or ask a friend or family member) You can request that the prize money go to a non-profit, ( i.e., Safe and Sane.)
Jan 2008 - Spaghetti Night at Rocky's Times and more info at later date.
Feb 2008 - Burger King Night
March 2008 - Roy Rogers Night
Silent Auction info was discussed. Items are needed. Mention of this will go out in the letter to parents inviting them to the Safe and Sane Meetings.
Baccalaureate: No Committee at this time
Old Business: Thurmont Carnival Royal Flush Fundraiser. Emails will be sent to everyone to remind them of there volunteer dates and times. Reminder of where to pick up money and return at the end of night. Remember to take candy to booth and give as prize for hitting the mark.
More discussion on whether the program is Bonded or not? Still looking into this matter.
Please pass the word around to friends and family to register at Food Lion for Safe and Sane. Checking to see if Weiss will also do this.
Next meeting will be held on August 15 at the CHS Media Center 7pm.
