Committee Meeting Minutes
December 12, 2007
Welcome: Lisa began the meeting at 7:06pm
Secretary’s Report: November 14th minutes were read and approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Wendy shared that the taxes for 2007 are done . Balance as of 12-11-07 was $23,613. Tonight, she wrote a check for ½ of the entertainment this year for $7,800.
Food: Not much to report this month. Next month, will begin working on the food for Bingo in February. Regarding dance in March, plan on keeping the same menu - chicken, ham, shrimp.
Dave Little will no longer be doing the food permits. He has turned that over to the food committee.
Casino Prizes: Sherry waiting until April to shop
Gift Bags: No Report
Donations: Lisa reported another $1,300 in donations were received.
Bingo: No Report
Memory Room: No Report
Golf: Terry reported April 25th will be the golf fundraiser at Maple Run. Looking now for hole sponsors - $100 a hole.
Security: No Report - still need contact numbers
Fundraising:
ATV sold only 790 tickets.
Restaurant Raffle - tickets for entire month of March. Runs off of the
Rocky’s Spaghetti Dinner, January 14, 2007 from 5-9pm.
Roy Roger’s night - February 13th
Dance Donations - start collecting and give to Lisa. Tickets for the next dance will be ready in January.
Suggestion for mid-March, at a staff/student game, “kiss pig” event to be split 50/50 with Safe and Sane and the Senior Class.
Discussed Rosensteel portraits certificates. Out of every $50 sitting fee coupon we sell, he’ll give us ½ back in cash.
Tip Jar with “Journeys” - Dave L will be at the January meeting. $774 cost for year permit. $44 profit per jar for us. Someone from “Journeys” must attend the tip jar class.
Decorations: No Report
Public Relations: Stacey Coleman is taking this back over. There was no advertising done the Banner or Dispatch for last months events.
Thank You Cards: Kim Little reported all were caught up. Lisa just gave her another list of donations tonight.
Entertainment: Cindy brought books for us to look at. Down payment of ½ is needed this month. Wendy wrote out the check. Suggesting no games with hitting/wrestling to limit injuries.
Clean-Up: No Report
Baccalaureate: Diane will begin after the first of the year to work on a place.
Picnic: Last year seemed to be a hit - Rita’s Italian Ice - Roast Pig. Tracey applied for grant but we did not get it.
New Business:
Lisa passed around the calendar to sign-up for games.
Winner of $5000 or ATV was drawn - John Miller won. Wendy will continue to contact him to see which prize he claims.
